It's still hard to believe how much Liliwenn is growing with every piece she makes. Check some more fresh work of her after the jump.

Yes people..the Crackforyoureyes contest is CLOSED. Donedid. Over. No more chances to win! We didn't had a lot of entries..but all the entries we got were awesome. (except Fake's, but he had the books already anyway). Even though we didn't had a lot to chose from, the choice was still very difficult for the whole CFYE crew, but the winner was unanimously chosen:

PAHNL!

Pahnl came up with this awesome piece which was first choice of us all. The simplicity and cleverness just struck us, it's absolutelt fresh! Congratulations!! The books (untitled - street art in the counter culture and Laser 3.14's are you reading me) are coming to your way soon!

Liliwenn her piece and contest entry was just mindblowing! She showed us love with a piece with pink eyes, representing the CFYE colors. A few CFYE slaps there to top it off and there was a perfect contest entry!

Got some nice pictures from the amazing Liliwenn of her @ work at the 'One foot in the grove' event (check the special). I wanted to keep this one under the radar untill the crack for your eyes contest was over, but can't resist the urge to post! This piece is Liliwenn her contest piece. A small explenation:

"Pink is the cfye colour and the eyes are showing love and they are looking as we are looking art. Birds are freedom and explosion is explosion of art. And... it's street art ;). I made it in a red-light district in Brixton, kids were very nice! :) ! This is how i show my love to Crack For Your Eyes (you can see some cfye stickers on it too)."

By now everyone must know that you should not take artist of the 'week' too literally. It's time to put up someone knew though, and that always seems difficult before I'm really busy with it. As soon as I put my mind to it though, I realize that there is always a particular artist or work that has been on my mind for the last period.

 

And the artist that has been on my mind the latest weeks is one to be reckoned with: The talented Liliwenn. This artist has been on the blog twice before, and we just know she'll be on here plenty more times. So why is she artist of the week? Well her work just strikes me. It's strong, it has the identity of someone doing her own thing. It's not like anything out there, every paint splatter is a signature. I also know Liliwenn is hungry, hungry for more canvas, for more places to paint at and to expand and improve her techniques. In the short time that I've got to known her work, she became one of my favorites. I believe that Liliwenn is going to be big, so we feature her while she's still humble ;). Enjoy her work!
